Short terms for a site that sells nothing: what it is, what it is not, and the rights these terms do not attempt to take away.

1. Who these terms are with

2. What the site is for

AgileBase publishes general explanatory information about consumer antivirus and device security software. It is a reference. It is not professional advice, security advice, legal advice or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified person who knows your circumstances. Nothing on the site should be read as a recommendation to buy any particular product.

3. Accuracy and change

Pages are written with reasonable care and carry a review date. Product details, prices, subscription terms, supported platforms and feature lists are set by the vendors concerned, change without notice to this publisher, and are not restated here for that reason. Always check the vendor's own website and terms before purchasing. Where this site describes the position of a regulator or a law, the linked official source governs, not the description.

4. Links to other sites

The site links to websites operated by others, including government agencies, software vendors and the advertiser described on the affiliate disclosure page. Those sites are outside the publisher's control. Their content, their terms and their privacy practices are their own, and a link is not an endorsement of them.

5. Paid links

Some links to vendor websites are affiliate links, and the publisher is paid a commission if a purchase follows one. This is disclosed on the homepage, beside each such link, and in full on the affiliate disclosure page. Any contract you enter is with the vendor, not with the publisher. The publisher is not a party to it, cannot access your account with the vendor, and has no role in delivery, billing, support, cancellation or refunds.

6. Content and trademarks

The text, layout, stylesheet, script and graphics on this site are the publisher's, and may be quoted with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction requires permission. TotalAV and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners, are used only to identify and describe those products, and their use here does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by their owners.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to interfere with the site or the server it runs on, gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or use automated means to place an unreasonable load on it. Ordinary crawling by search engines is welcome; the robots.txt file allows it.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, from the unavailability of the site, or from the content or conduct of any third-party site reached through a link.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you and cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law in Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Where a liability cannot lawfully be excluded but may be limited, the publisher's liability is limited, at its option, to supplying the relevant information again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Your rights against a software vendor under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected by these terms, and the ACCC explains those guarantees on its own site.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, where the publisher is established, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you are a consumer resident in Australia, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws that apply to you, including the Australian Consumer Law, or of your right to bring proceedings in Australia where the law permits it.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one at this address, with its effective date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
